This program is approved by Colorado’s Domestic Violence Offender Management Board (DVOMB). These professionals work follow the DVOMB standards and best practices offering Domestic Violence Evaluations, individualized treatment plans, group therapy, monthly staff meetings, treatment plan reviews. The group therapy combines Cognitive-Behavioral techniques, Motivational Interviewing/Motivational Enhancement Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy for gender/orientation specific individuals.
Domestic Violence treatment includes, but is not limited to:
- Education about domestic violence such as the cycle of violence, impact awareness on victims, children and the community, childhood/life abuse patterns, intimate relationship patterns
- Skill development in anger control, impulse control, stress management, communication, social skills, healthy relationships, and emotional control
